Dr Rebecca Shand GP
Med School/University – Birmingham University Medical School.
Qualifications and date achieved – MBChB 1998, DFFP 2002 (Diploma in Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare), DRCOG 2004 (Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology), MRCGP (Distinction) 2004.
Career to date – House Officer year West Midlands, Senior House Officer Coventry and Warwick Trauma Centre, Worked in Tauranga Hospital, New Zealand for almost 12 months as a medical SHO. Locum in various hospitals in the West Midlands on my return in 2000. Completed a Women’s Health post at Wordsley Hospital, Dudley in 2001. Started my GP training in Hereford August 2001 and completed that in 2004 after a year as a GP Registrar in Bromyard. Started work as a Salaried GP at BMC September 2004 and became a Partner in April 2016.
Clinical interests/specialisms – I have been Site Lead since October 2019. I am the lead GP for Cancer and End of Life Care. I have an interest in all aspects of Women’s Health from contraception to pregnancy, menopause and genitourinary medicine. I am certified to provide long-acting reversible contraception e.g Coils and Implants. I am the lead for medicines management.

Dr Mahmoud Abu-Amara GP
Med School/University – St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London.
Qualifications and date achieved – MB BS, BSc, MRCGP, MRCS, DRCOG, PhD.
Career to date – Postgraduate undertook surgical training, followed by PhD and hepatology followed by GP training.
Clinical interests/specialisms – CKD lead, Diabetes, Respiratory disease, liver disease, Minor Surgery and joint injections.

Dr Claire Kneebone GP
Med School/University – Manchester.
Qualifications and date achieved – MRCP MRCGP Cert Med Ed.
Career to date – After finishing my training in Manchester I completed my further medical qualifications and the decided to train further to become a GP. I completed my GP qualifications and worked in the Northwest, New Zealand for a year before relocating to Worcestershire. I have been at Bewdley Medical Centre since 2011.
Clinical interests/specialisms – I enjoy all aspects of general practice. I have a particular interest in Gastroenterology, menopause, medical research and education.

Dr Matthew Tucker GP

Qualifications and date achieved – MBChB 1998, MRCGP 2004, Diploma in Dermatology (Cardiff) 2008
Career to date – Salaried GP in Stourport, partner in Ombersley, salaried GP 2009 – 2021 then partner at BMC since 2021
Clinical interests/specialisms – Specialising in Dermatology and Men’s Health. I am the lead tutor at the practice for medical students and enthusiastic about teaching as well as keeping up to date clinically.

Dr Ivy Chan GP

Career to date – On completing my GP training in Sheffield in 2015, I relocated to Worcester where I worked as a Salaried GP.
I joined the Team at Bewdley Medical Centre in December 2019.
Clinical interests/specialisms – General Medicine, Site lead for Learning Disability.

Dr Alexander Dungate GP
Med School/University – Oxford University.
Qualifications and date achieved – BA 2011, BMBCh (Batchelor of Medicine and Batchelor of surgery) 2014, MRCGP 2021.
Career to date – Worked as a foundation doctor in North Devon, before working in various roles as an SHO then Registrar in Canberra, Australia. Returned to the UK in 2018 to do GP training in the West Midlands. Worked as a Salaried GP in Birmingham for one year before moving to Bewdley Medical Centre.
Clinical interests/specialisms – Clinical interests include Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine, Stroke, Rehabilitation, Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine.

Diane Welbourn – Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Med School/University – Mid-Worcs School of Nursing/Birmingham City University.
Qualifications and date achieved – RGN 1989, Non-medical prescribing 2013.
Career to date – Practice Nurse since 1991, ANP since 2016.
Clinical interests/specialisms – I currently work as an ANP assessing/diagnosing and treatment minor illness. I am particularly interested in lifestyle and how that impacts on our physical and mental well-being. I am part of the team driving and striving to deliver clinical excellence.

Anna Rachel Cleaver – Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Qualifications and date achieved – Dip HE-Adult Nursing, Branch-RN 2003. Bsc Applied Professional Studies 2012 Non Medical/Independent Prescriber 2013.
Career to date – For the last 18 years I have worked within general surgery at WRH, firstly as a staff nurse and then as a surgical nurse practitioner. I left in May 2021 and started at BMC June 2021.
Clinical interests/specialisms – All inra-abdominal conditions, Bowel conditions, Stomas, Skin abscesses, Breast care, Minor illness.

Qualifications and date achieved – MSc Lesion Management (currently undertaking) / MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner achieved 2019 / BSc Nursing Studies achieved 2015 / Adult General Nursing Diploma achieved 2006.
Career to date – General Practice ANP for past 6 years 3 of which at BMC, previously working within Dudley Group of Hospitals and undertaking ANP training with the Community Response Team in hospital avoidance. Prior to this working within a practice nurse and community staff nurse role.
Clinical interests/specialisms – Dermatology and skin lesion management, Palliative care, Minor illness.
